Observing auras of other people

Observing auras of other people

The best is to look directly at someone’s brow chakra (third eye or wisdom eye, which is located @1.5 cm above the nose, between eyes) and aim to achieve the state of mind similar to the concentration technique described above for at least 30-60 seconds. I have tried also looking at throat and heart chakras with similar results. However, if you concentrate on someone’s chest it looks so unusual that the person concerned is usually very uneasy about it. When you look into someone’s brow chakra you can actually continue conversation.

Again, VERY softly illuminated background, with no shadows is best. With practice, any uniformly illuminated background (such as a blue sky for example) will suffice.

Seeing the Aura

Seeing the Aura

This exercise is designed to see Aura for the first time and/or practice seeing Auras. Choosing good conditions is important: not only you see the Aura better, but also to gain a confidence about what you see.

  1. Situate the person in front of a very softly illuminated PLAIN WHITE background. A color background will change Aura colors, so you need additional knowledge about combining colors. Some combinations of background and Aura colors may cause misinterpretation problems.
  2. Choose ONE SPOT to look at. The middle of the forehead is VERY GOOD. This is a location of so called Brow Chakra or the Third Eye. In some cultures (India) they put a mark on a forehead. Such a mark in ancient times could mean the invitation to look and see the Aura.
  3. Look at this spot for 30 to 60 seconds or longer
  4. After 30 seconds analyze surroundings with your peripheral vision, while still looking at the same spot. Continuing the concentration is most important. Resist temptation to look around. You should see that the background nearby the person is brighter and has a DIFFERENT color than the background further away. This is your own perception of the Aura. The longer you concentrate, the better you will see it. Remember, concentration on one spot increases your sensitivity by accumulating the effect of the Aura vibration reaching your eyes.

Taking a SNAPSHOT of an Aura.

After concentrating long enough to see the aura, close your eyes. For a second or two you will see the Aura ONLY. Be prepared. You have only one second or two until your photosensitive cells will stop vibrating and sending visual sensations to the brain. And if you miss is, you have to start concentrating again. Try to experiment how fast or slow you should close your eyes.

Kirlian Effect

One of the most general and most universally used methods in science is so-called perturbation technique.

Response to a well chosen perturbation can reveal object properties that are not obvious when the perturbation is absent.

For example, if you need to know if a wall next to you is solid or hollow, all you need to do is to “knock” it gently and listen to its response. The response of the wall (the sound it emits) reveals the wall’s internal properties.

Similar approach is used to investigate properties of extremely wide range of objects in all imaginable scientific disciplines: from physical, biological, Real World objects and systems to objects of purely hypothetical and imaginary nature such as mathematical models.

Kirlian Effect is a visible electro-photonic glow of an object (see the picture on the right) in response to pulsed electrical field excitation.

The magnitude of the excitation is adjusted to induce the avalanche effect in the gas surrounding the object. The avalanche effect amplifies the response of the object so that it can be observed as a visible glow. The effect has been observed by Tesla late in 19th century, but named after Semion Kirlian who investigated it since 1930s.

Note, that there is no point exciting object in vacuum, since the avalanche effect amplification of the object response can only occur in ionised gas.

Much like a sound of a disturbed wall reveals its internal properties, the visible electro-photonic glow contains information about the object that was excited to glow.

In early days, Kirlian images were recorded on photographic emulsion. Since the sensitivity of a photographic emulsion varies greatly with environmental factors such as humidity, recordings were not reproducible. As a result, some scientists dismissed the Kirlian effect as useless.

Modern GDV instruments developed by Prof Korotkov use glass electrodes and their recordings are highly reproducible in a wide range of environmental conditions.

Using reproducible recording techniques we can focus on the INFORMATION encoded in stimulated electro-photonic images.

Why do we need to see auras ?

Why do we need to see auras ?
Colors and intensity of the aura, especially around and above the head have VERY special meanings. Watching someone’s aura you can actually see the other person’s thoughts before you hear them expressed verbally. If they do not agree with what this person is saying, you effectively see a lie every time. No one can lie in front of you undetected. We cannot fake the Aura. It shows our True Nature and intentions for everyone to see.

Also, aura is our spiritual signature. When you see a person with a bright, clean aura, you can be SURE that such person is good and spiritually advanced, even if he/she is modest and not aware of it. When you see a person with a gray or dark aura, you may be almost SURE, that such person has unclear intentions, regardless how impressive, eloquent, educated, “good looking” or “well dressed” he/she seems to appear.

It is ESPECIALLY important to check the aura of any religious leader, “spiritual teacher”, “master” or a “guru”. Such a person should have a clearly defined yellow-golden halo around the head. If he/she does not have it, you are MUCH better on your own.

Joining a sect or a religion that is led by incompetent people without good Auras is very dangerous for your consciousness. Where is the danger ? When the time comes to really use the information stored in your consciousness from this lifetime, there may be almost nothing useful there, if you focus your life on following rituals and the flock of other people. In such case it is necessary to re-learn everything from the beginning. Most sect, religion and political leaders have only two things in mind: money and power to control people. And you can SEE it in their Aura for yourself. Imagine changes on Earth if many people can see Auras of their leaders and start choosing them on the basis of their Auras.

By reading Aura it seems possible to diagnose malfunctions in the body (diseases) long before physical symptoms become evident. By consciously controlling your Aura you can actually heal yourself.

However, healing of the physical body is nothing in comparison to what seeing and reading auras can do for our consciousness, spiritual development and our awareness of Nature.

Everyone has an Aura. But most people on Earth have VERY WEAK and dull Auras. This seems to be a direct consequence of their life long materialistic attitude negating and suppressing the development of consciousness, cultivating fear, envy, jealousy and other similar emotions. Such attitude suppresses their True Nature, and their Auras seem to become suppressed too.

When you learn to see Auras, be prepared for a REALLY HARD question: “Can you tell me what my Aura is ?” and the situation when you don’t see any Aura or you see something you don’t want to talk about. One of the best answers I found is “why don’t you learn to see it for yourself ? “. And this is one of the main reasons why I teach people to see auras.

When people realize that their Aura is on display and many people are able to see it, they will watch what they think. And they will try to see and improve their own Aura. In the process they will become better and wiser, being able to recognize intentions of other people. Surely, the entire world will become much better if all people can see and read Auras.

Kirlian photography

Kirlian photography

In 1939, Semyon Kirlian discovered by accident that if an object on akirlian butterfly digigraph by R. Carroll photographic plate is subjected to a high-voltage electric field, an image is created on the plate. The image looks like a colored halo or coronal discharge. This image is said to be a physical manifestation of the spiritual aura or “life force” which allegedly surrounds each living thing.

Allegedly, this special method of “photographing” objects is a gateway to the paranormal world of auras. Actually, what is recorded is due to quite natural phenomena such as pressure, electrical grounding, humidity and temperature. Changes in moisture (which may reflect changes in emotions), barometric pressure, and voltage, among other things, will produce different ‘auras’.

Living things…are moist. When the electricity enters the living object, it produces an area of gas ionization around the photographed object, assuming moisture is present on the object. This moisture is transferred from the subject to the emulsion surface of the photographic film and causes an alternation of the electric charge pattern on the film. If a photograph is taken in a vacuum, where no ionized gas is present, no Kirlian image appears. If the Kirlian image were due to some paranormal fundamental living energy field, it should not disappear in a simple vacuum (Hines 2003).

There have even been claims of Kirlian photography being able to capture “phantom limbs,” e.g., when a leaf is placed on the plate and then torn in half and “photographed,” the whole leaf shows up in the picture. This is not due to paranormal forces, however, but to fraud or to residues left from the initial impression of the whole leaf.

thelmamoss.jpg (2526 bytes)Parapsychologist Thelma Moss popularized Kirlian photography as a diagnostic medical tool with her books The Body Electric (1979) and The Probability of the Impossible (1983). She was convinced that the Kirlian process was an open door to the “bioenergy” of the astral body. Moss came to UCLA in mid-life and earned a doctorate in psychology. She experimented with and praised the effects of LSD and was in and out of therapy for a variety of psychological problems, but managed to overcome her personal travails and become a professor at UCLA’s Neuropsychiatric Institute. Her studies focused on paranormal topics, such as auras, levitation and ghosts. One of her favorite subjects at UCLA was Uri Geller, whom she “photographed” several times. She even made several trips to the Soviet Union to consult with her paranormal colleagues. Moss died in 1997 at the age of 78.

Moss paved the way for other parapsychologists to speculate that Kirlian “photography” was parapsychology’s Rosetta stone. They would now be able to understand such things as acupuncture, chi, orgone energy, telepathy, etc., as well as diagnose and cure whatever ails us. For example, Bio-Electrography claims to be

…a method of investigation for biological objects, based on the interpretation of the corona-discharge image obtained during exposure to a high-frequency, high-voltage electromagnetic field which is recorded either on photopaper or by modern video recording equipment. Its main use is as a fast, inexpensive and relatively non-invasive means for the diagnostic evaluation of physiological and psychological states. [from the now-defunct http://www.psy.aau.dk/bioelec/]

The reliability of diagnosing illnesses by photographing auras is not very high, however. Bio-Electrography should not be confused with Esogetic Colorpuncture, Peter Mandel’s therapy, which unites acupuncture and Kirlian photography “to detect energy imbalances.”

None of these Kirlian methods of diagnosis should be confused with other types of medical photography, e.g., roentgen-ray computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, single photon/positron emission computed tomography and other useful types of medical imaging, none of which have anything to do with auras.

Aura, Chakras, and the Rainbow

The aura is the energy field which surrounds a physical object. The aura of a human is more complex than that of a rock or animal because of the spirit within humankind, which is made in the image of God. Sensitive people and small children are often able to see the auras and what is in them. Usually there are colors and these colors can change according to the mood of the person and the situation the person is in.

The aura reflects the total person because the spiritual aspect influences the mental/emotional state which impacts our physical reality of which the aura is the outermost part.

Chakra Energy Vortexes

The energy field of the human body has junction boxes in it, like the wiring in a house or the interstate system of roads which connect the United States. These junction boxes are called chakras which means spinning wheel. In the spiritually enlightened person, each chakra is a different color, corresponding to the colors in a rainbow.

This diagram shows a person who has many colors in his/her aura. Although colors in the aura change, sometimes only one or two is predominant. Ideally, all the colors of the rainbow will move in and through a person’s aura, showing a balance between the different energy systems and harmony between the different levels of consciousness. This diagram depicts a rainbow warrior, someone who has attuned his or her chakras and is keeping them attuned and cleansed so all the energies are balanced and harmonized.

When a person is out of balance, ill at ease (dis-ease), the aura and chakras will be turbulent, uneven, or warped. This second diagram shows an aura that is buffeted by the effects of life in our modern times. A Healer who also shows the client how to sense and cleanse his own energy field will assist this client to return to a balanced state of peacefulness, as in the diagram above.

There are 7 major chakras in our body. Each chakra is associated with an aspect of consciousness. The chakras begin at the base of our spine and then are located upwards, to the top of our head. These are illustrated by the colored circles running up the spine in the diagram. While there are other, lesser, vortices, they are not shown in this picture. In Angelic RayKey, you will learn how to sense the state of these chakras in a person or yourself, what to do to open them, and how to enhance the spin and balance of all energy points, large or small.

The state of a person’s health can be detected by Kirilian photography, dowsing, and other methods of measuring and recording the color and spin of the chakras and aura. When the chakras are small, out of alignment (making a crooked line running through them), or out of synchronization with each other, there is an imbalance which will be evident somewhere else for the individual. This may be a physical illness, a mental problem, a relationship which has ended or something of the kind or a combination of any of the above. The Angelic RayKey practitioner assists a person to become like the diagram, balanced, aligned and in a state of perfection.

In the Angelic RayKey classes (coming soon to a cyberspace near you–want to know when?) the aura and chakras are discussed as part of the attunement process. That’s because these energy centers are important in our spiritual growth, and they provide insight to our conscious healing process.

The colors of the rainbow aura and the chakras make up the RAY of Angelic RayKey. Ray of light. KEY is the key to the RAYs of Light. Thereby, Angelic RayKey is Angels leading us, giving us, the Keys to the Rainbow. The covenant of the rainbow, and the key is available. Only Angels led by God would dream up an association to Noah’s ark, and to St. Michael’s association with Joan of ARC while tying together valuable knowledge from Reiki and other sources. They see God’s master plan and help us out when we do not see the bigger picture in our lives.

AURA

aura

An aura, according to New Age metaphysics, is a colored outline, alien aura digigraph by R. Carroll or set of contiguous outlines, allegedly emanating from the surface of an object. Auras are not to be confused with the aureoles or halos of saints, which are devices of Christian iconography used to depict the radiance of light associated with divine infusion. In the New Age, even the lowly amoeba has an aura, as does the mosquito and every lump of goat dung.  The aura supposedly reflects a supernatural energy field or life force that permeates all things. Human auras allegedly emerge from the chakras. Under ordinary circumstances, auras are only visible to certain people with  special psychic power. However, with a little bit of training, or with a special set of Aura Goggles with “pinacyanole bromide” filters (available at your local New Age Head Shop), anyone can see auras. You may also use Kirlian photography to capture auras on film. At least that is what New Age spiritualists believe.

On the other hand, you may also see auras if you have a migraine, a certain form of epilepsy, a visual system disorder or a brain disorder. These auras, however, are somewhat different from the kind encouraged by most aura training exercises. These involve staring at an object placed against a white background in a dimly lit room. What one sees is due to retinal fatigue and other natural perceptual processes, not the unleashing of hidden psychic powers. Something similar happens when you stare at certain colored or black and white patterns. Vision is not the verbatim recording of the outside world. When looking at a colored object, for example, the eye does not transmit to the brain a continuous series of duplicate impressions. The brain itself supplies much of the visual perception. In short, even if auras are perceived, that is not good evidence that there is an energy field in the physical or supernatural world corresponding to the perceptions.

Some psychics claim that the specific colors in auras have specific meanings. Edgar Cayce, for example,  not only gave a meaning to each of seven colors, he also connected each color with a note on the musical scale, a planet in the solar system, and possible health disorders. Robert Bruce, an aura expert in his own mind, objects to the notion that specific colors have specific meanings. In his view, even colors have auras, so what color clothing you have on will affect the color of your aura. According to Bruce,

The human aura is both an energy field and a reflection of the subtle life energies within the body. These energies make us what we are and in turn, are affected by our surroundings and life style. The aura reflects our health, character, mental activity and emotional state. It also shows disease - often long before the onset of symptoms.

The notion that auras reflect health is a common one among true believers. The problem is, what color reflects what condition? There is no consensus on what the colors mean, which makes it difficult if not impossible to devise an empirical test to determine whether there is any correlation between specific colors and specific diseases. In other words, reading auras is something like reading Rorschach tests with the added difficulty of each psychic potentially seeing a different pattern.

For every other object of color we have scientific devices which can measure any energy emitted from the object, as well as the wavelengths of light reflected from the object. Even though equipment exists capable of measuring extremely minute energy levels, no one has ever detected an aura or the alleged energy that gives rise to an aura using scientific equipment. Human tissue is about a million times less sensitive than something like a PET scanner, yet we are supposed to believe that some special people can “see” what cannot otherwise be detected. Or, we are supposed to believe that we all have the power to see auras but somehow we have repressed or never trained our psychic selves to unleash the power within.

Furthermore,  the best aura reader in the West was tested before a live television audience and failed miserably. The Berkeley Psychic Institute (BPI) sent their top aura reader for a chance to win $10,000 if she could prove her powers. She agreed that the devised test was a fair and accurate. The test was televised on a program hosted by Bill Bixby. James Randi put up the $10,000. The psychic was presented with about twenty people on stage and was asked if she could see their auras. She said that she could see the auras, they all had one and they emanated at least a foot or two above each person’s head. The twenty aura-wearing people then went offstage. A curtain was lifted, revealing a number of partitions behind which only some of the twenty people were standing. Thus, Bixby and the psychic were looking at twenty partitions but only several of them had a person behind it. The psychic was asked if she could see any auras creeping up above the partitions. She said she could. To get her ten grand all she had to do was correctly identify each partition that had a person behind it. She was to do this by seeing each person’s aura above the partition. The audience was given an aerial camera view of the proceeding. Well, the psychic claimed that she saw an aura above all the partitions and that there was a person behind each partition. The partitions were removed, revealing about 6 people behind the partitions. The psychic didn’t even seem surprised. She might console herself that 6 out of 20 is not bad in a hostile arena.

Of course, the test only demonstrates the lack of aura reading power of one person, not that there is no such thing as an aura or that auras are not indicative of mental, emotional and physical health or sickness. However, Randi’s offer is still open to any psychic who wants to try it, except that now the prize is over $1,000,000. Hurry, though, the offer ends March 6, 2010.* Why is there not a line of psychics outside Randi’s house? If what the psychics say is true about auras and reading them, taking this money would be easier than taking candy from a baby. Even if there are no poor psychics who need the money, they might still demonstrate their powers and give the prize to their favorite charity.

The Berkeley Psychic Institute has a special place in my heart. One day a few years ago, I noticed a poster from BPI on a bulletin board near my office at Sacramento City College. In addition to information about BPI, the poster exclaimed: You may not be psychotic, you may be psychic! I wrote a note to our school psychologist who handled the “psychologically challenged” at the time. I told her I was concerned about the poster. She wrote me back and asked me how in the world did I know that she had attended BPI. (If I occasionally express a bit of disdain for psychologists and therapists, please keep in mind that I have had a traumatic adulthood, dotted with experiences such as this one. I know. I should have told her I was psychic.)

I was familiar with BPI from their work at an annual local affair. Every year in May at the University of California at Davis there is a Whole Earth Festival reminiscent of the sixties. For three days the campus is filled with tie-dyed shirts, psychedelic music, incense burning, children with flowers in their hair, marijuana smoking, gurus, massages with scented oils, handcrafts, the latest in New Age healing and religion, karma patrol (for those who overdose on drugs), etc. The Aura Reading Booth is run by BPI. For a few dollars, one sits in a chair in the great outdoors with the music playing, the incense wafting, and people swaying while someone from BPI reads your aura. Actually, the BPI psychic uses colored crayons to fill in a piece of paper pre-printed with a series of outlines in the vague shape of a person. Then the psychic tells you what your aura reveals. They only charge a few dollars and for the longest time I considered their activity a harmless parlor game. But now I feel I should put up posters near their booth saying, If you see auras, you may not be psychic; you may have a brain or vision disorder. See your physician ASAP.

synesthesia

In the October 2004 issue of Cognitive Neuropsychology (vol. 21 no. 7), Dr. Jamie Ward of University College London’s Psychology Department “documented a woman known as GW who could see colors like purple and blue in response to people she knew or their names when read to her,” a condition known as emotion-color synesthesia.

Synaesthesia is a condition found in 1 in 2000 people in which stimulation of one sense produces a response in one or more of the other senses. For example, people with synaesthesia may experience shapes with tastes or smells with sounds. It is thought to originate in the brain and some scientists believe it might be caused by a cross-wiring in the brain, for example between centres involved in emotional processing and smell perception. Synaesthesia is known to run in families.*

Dr. Ward writes:

The ability of some people to see the coloured auras of others has held an important place in folklore and mysticism throughout the ages. Although many people claiming to have such powers could be charlatans, it is also conceivable that others are born with a gift of synaesthesia.

GW does not believe she has mystical powers and has no interest in the occult, but it is not hard to imagine how, in a different age or culture, such an interpretation could arise.

Rather than assuming that people give off auras or energy fields that can only be detected by rigged cameras or trained seers, we need only assume that the phenomenon of synaesthesia is taking place.

Some synesthetes perceive numbers or letters as having colors or days of the week as possessing personalities.* A rare form of synaesthesia was discovered by Dr Melissa Saenz of the California Institute of Technology: people who hear sounds, such as tapping, beeping, or whirring, when they see things move or flash.*

Thus, perhaps some cases of seeing auras can be explained by synesthesia rather than assuming that auras are energies given off by chakras or signs of delusion or fraud.
